fairy wrasse question

How common is it for my Lubbocks to strut his stuff? It seems after I feed every evening, he flies around the tank showing off. He changes from blue to almost all pink except for his blue dorsal stripes. His fins turn orange and he extends them and cruises around the tank really excited. Is it normal for every day? He's done it two days in a row now. No aggression directed towards the other fish, he just seems to be showing off.

Yes, mine used to do it every night, after eating. He was the only lubbocks in the tank.

:( All my Lubbocks does is swim behind the rocks and come out for chow. He's only been in the reef for a few days (after a 1 month quarantine) so hopefully this will change.

Mine is very active and he shows off in front of the tank. He does "hang out" with the possum wrasse every once in awhile behind the rocks but other than that, he's pretty social. The first day he was in the tank he was pretty shy but not anymore. Hope yours gets more personable for you.

My condei fairy wrasse flashes right after I feed the tank every evening. Actually, all of my wrasses tend to flash more right after feeding. You're right that you won't get tired of seeing him flash! I love seeing all the different colors come out. It's like having two fish in one.
