its unfair fall is barley starting i think i have seen 3 trees with red on them and im in new york i have to wait another week or so than it'll look nice
Firstsalt - I was born and raised in NY. We have tons of reds here in AK (down low), but there is something about those majestic canopies of reds and oranges that the NE provides that is just in a world of it's own.
Sounds like it's time for a weekend road trip Firstsalt! I totally follow the fall colors up here. They peak out in Denali NP around late August or Early Sept then work their way down. It is just starting to kick around town here in Anchorage. The tundra up high is about done, but the trees are gaining momentum. I'd guess about a week until it peaks and fades out. Then I'll just go a little further south .
Jesse - did you post these in the reflection thread? They'd be right at home there . So, my parents in PA said the color is starting to look decent. WHat's it like in you neck of the woods? Fall is winding down here...maybe a week left. It was snowing over the weekend .
Yes Louis, they are in the reflection thread. Your parents must be north of me. We're just beginning to see the changes and it's been raining quite a bit lately. Hopefully this will extend things to make the colors a bit more vibrant. It wasn't supposed to be that good because of the drought we've been in.
hm, man I hope you get some good colors...can't wait to see some more pics! We had a strange year, maybe because we got a TON of rain. Lots of browned out trees. Some of the Tundra up North was good though. Blazing oranges and reds on the floor.
Nice Reflection Jesse. Still looks like you got a lot of green going on there. DO you shoot RAW? Would be nice if you could merge some layers and save those blown highlights .
