fallow period for flukes?

The one time I had Flukes in a DT I went 10 weeks just to be safe (didn't wanna use Prazi in there). However, I've since read that just 4 weeks fallow is sufficient for Flukes.

Yes, 4 weeks is more than sufficient. In 78 degrees eggs hatch in 4 days. The oncomiridium (larvae) have to find a host within 36 hours or they die. An adult will die within 6 days without a host.

I would definitely do a FW dip. The fluke life cycle is somewhere on this forum. Believe me I did a TON of research since I dealt with these awful things. So much so I consult with a local marine science center

After 8 weeks fallow you are safe. I've gone 3 weeks fallow with no reoccurrence. Enjoy!!
The clownfish is in his new home and doing great! Except I noticed today a few white spots on his body, they are close together and VERY tiny. You cannot see them at most angles, they dont at all show up in pictures, and I cannot see them when I shine a flashlight on the fish. At first I thought it was brook or ich, but I dont see how either of them are possible since the tank was fallow and he hasnt been exposed to any new fish for a couple months. Am I being paranoid or is it really possible for it to be another parasite? Lympho crossed my mind as well, I had a fish who came down with lympho in this tank before. The clown isnt scratching or breathing heavy

How long have you had the clown?
He's been with me for about 7 months
This morning the spots look more like ich. Of course, I can NEVER catch a break. I've been doing this for four years already and I've never gotten lucky with anything. How is this even possible?? The fish came out of the tank ich free, and the only thing I added was 2 corals that came from a coral only system. Maybe the fish were already living with the ich in the tank and were not infected because they weren't stressed, but I find that hard to believe since they were suffering from gill flukes.
I don't want to wait another 10 weeks, im hoping if I boost his immune system it will go away on it's own, and he will just have to live with it. I've heard of numerous people successfully doing this. But I'm never lucky, so who knows. It's just so annoying that it never ends.

There's your answer...you introduced corals. Did they come from an LFS? I take it you didn't quarantine them. The clown did not have ich...you would have seen the spots while he was in the QT for 8 weeks. You could read the stickies on ich. Some people do go the "immune system" route. I'm not a proponent of that. Any fish you introduce into the main is going to get it.
Well the only spots I see now are the same tiny ones from yesterday. It's possible the other two I saw were air bubbles, because the lights were off it was hard to tell. I'm going to observe and soak his food in kent Zoe and see if it progresses. If all the spots drop off within a week or so, I think I'm dealing with ich, but If then don't go away, it may be something else.
