Fan Wiring DC

I plan to wire 4 fans in parallel and am wondering how to do this with best results. Can someone post a description of what they've done?

Not sure exactly what your looking for.

If your planning on running them in parallel, all four PLUS leads would be connected together along with the PLUS power lead. Same goes for the NEGITAVE.

As far as the power supply goes, the voltage would be the same while the current would be the sum of each individual fan.

I have two fans running in parallel. Since each fan cam with lead wires, I just connected everything together with wire nuts. The two fans are about 12" apart.

Thank you ri, that was pretty much what I was looking for.

One more question. Most of the fans I see are equipped with a third wire. Can I clip this off or do I need to tie it in somewhere?

The question remains. Can I clip the rpm wire off or do I need to tie it into something?

Cut it off, just use the red and black wires.

also if your running in paralle, if your fans use .2 amp make sure your transformer is 12v dc .4 amp you can get smaller like .3 amp but your fans will run slower and more quiet if their to loud with the .4 amp.

Actually, if you want to run the fans slower, you should provide less voltage.

Supplying less current essentially does the same thing (voltage drops as you use more current) however, since your overloading the transformer, it will run warmer and possibly burn out.
