Fans Died on Biocube - Safe to run lights?

The second fan in my 8 gallon biocube started buzzing loudly today and then died on me. The first died a while back.

Is it a fire hazard to run the two 18 w power compacts with no fans? I have a digital thermometer running and am watching the temp in the tank.

I am thinking of requesting replacements from Oceanic though I am not psyched on the idea of this happening again in 6 months. Are there any higher quality replacement fans that would work and if so where can I get them?

Thanks for your help.

not a fire hazzard. The only difference might be that the tank temp will rise, but it will not catch on fire.

Go to radioshack and get some of their computer fans. Those supposedly are the best way to go.

mine died in my bio 29 and i called and they sent out 2 right away. then i upgraded my lighting and larger fans. i still have the new origonal ones you can have if you want.
