Farewell!

Thank for all your help and for coming down from on high to distribute wisdom to the small but dedicated stomatopod fanatics! May your work, research and lessons continue to further inspire people about some of natures most amazing creatures. Thanks again and enjoy retirement! Live it up and make the most of it!

Thank you, Roy!

Thank you, Roy!

When I got my mantis shrimp about 6 weeks ago, I had no idea what the thing was. Someone directed me to this site called "Roy's List of Stomapods."

About 2 hours later, I had clicked through a couple hundred stomapods, and I found it - the Caribbean rock smasher. Common on liverock. Was mostly green with white smasher balls. He fit the bill. I was so excited to identify it. I didn't realize you were an actual person active on the internet.

Thank you so much, Roy. Your passion and love for these weird little creatures clearly knows no bounds. I wish the best in whatever you choose to do next in the big ocean of life.

Thank you for your contributions and hard work. Enjoy retirement and continue to flourish.

Farewell Dr. Caldwell, thank you so incredibly much for everything you've done. Like many others, I wish you the best in retirement. You will certainly be missed.

You might not be reading this, but it is truly a shame when the generosity and knowledge of someone like you goes unnoticed or exploited. You shouldn't have had to be the resident problem solver. I know I wouldn't have been able to setup my mantis tank without your experience guiding me along the way. You truly have been a resource for me and everybody Ive helped along the way with mantis shrimps. I know from my heart and from those of RC that you have helped, you will be missed. Thank you for bringing these interesting creatures into light as not pests, but sophisticated organisms that deserve respect.
