Absolutely did, which is what baffles me with the current disease outbreak. I knew going back in that my tank was an ich-maintenance tank and was successful with the population density I had for a year, with a powder blue tang even, which hardly has any resistance to ich. The 110 watt UV sterilizer was key to the success in my opinion.I thought you quarantined all your fish before?
Corals are happy at least!everything looks very happy!
Remind me of your params again please
Corals are happy at least!
Ca - 420-440 ppm
Alk - 7.5 dKh
Mg - 1400 ppm
PO4 - 0.03 ppm
NO3 - 16 ppm, though usually at 5-8ppm
Sal - 1.025
Temp - 81-82 degrees
No water changes. Oversized skimmer, Calcium reactor, GFO reactor, carbon, biopellets, and that's it. I did change my lights to ATI T5 fixture and no longer run LEDs.
I had a juvi emperor angel and I added some new frags to the tank a couple of days ago and after 10 minutes with started to eat the new polyps like it was lunch time. Took an hour and half and tearing everything apart to catch him. I read they really only eat pls and softies.
How does your emperor treat your sps? Did you have reduced polyps at first and then theynjustbget use to it and then come back out?

Cody said it best, it just really depends on the fish but if I were a betting man, I'd say if you have zoas, they are toast! LPS is hit or miss. For SPS, he has a couple colonies he doesn't mind grazing every once in a blue moon but its not often. I have enough colonies and coral mass that it really doesn't have much effect.I had this EXACT same situation as you. I read a lot of places that they wont nip as much when the colonies are large but its always a risk I guess
Thank you sir! I only scaped the right side but I'll take it! [emoji12]Beautiful Ty!
Nice minimalist scape. The corals look great!
Yes, it was ich. I pulled them to lower the population a bit until I could reinstall my UV sterilizer and zap them all.is it ich? trying to remember

Came from a LFS, their grow out raceway couldn't keep fish alive for some reason... Well, I found out the reason. That's sad to hear about so many of the fish. Did the person you got the velvet from have fish in their system? Seems velvet would of killed their fish also. When you restock are you going with the same fish list?

I'm not sure the direction of restocking yet. I'm still recovering from this loss and dealing with treating the remaining fish and going fallow for 6 weeks. I'll have some time to think about the new stock list... I'm sure heavy on angels, wrasses, and anthias.
