Day 16

I had very low Ph until about day 8 (7.4-7.8) it really took off once I fixed it

Acropora youngei is supposed to grow extremely fast. I have never had one though

This was my fastest growing acro. It died shortly after these pictures were taken due to overuse of phosphate removing media. It was sold as "blueberry squarrosa" I'm not exactly sure what out is though

Day 1

Six months later. The branch on the left was in a fight with the pink Milli and lost

Pictures don't do any justice. The body was lime green and it had bright purple corallites. I recently bought an acro that looks very similar to the first picture. I have my fingers crossed that its the same thing. That was my favorite acro.

I would say most birdsnest grow like weeds under the right conditions. Plating and branching montipora seem to grow very quickly as well, ie. M. digitata and capricornis. Some people have excellent growth out of the encrusting montipora as well. Personally I find the sunset Montipora to grow very fast out of them. As far as acros go, most stags grow pretty quickly especially the green slimer (a. yongei). I have always found a. millepora/prostrata/hyacinthus to grow very quickly as well.
