IMHO, a strong possibility is that the bristle worm was plundering the gut sac of the favia polyp for the eggs it just ingested. I bet it ate them all and then went on its merry way.

That, and that it might be eating the favia were my two other thoughts. However, it seemed to stop moving; I had to leave for work so couldn't stay to find out.
I find it hard to believe but anything is possible. I agree it is more likely that the bristleworm was raiding the favia. I see my worms and shrimp doing this all the time.
