Favia & Brain Corals on fresh LR; can it be saved?

I'm sure many of you who have purchased Tonga & MI LR have seen these small brain colonies on fresh LR ...the polyps are badly retracted but you still see a lil "brown"...

my question is has anyone recovered these colonies, how and what are the odds?

I had some rock that came in like that I was able to get a colony to bounce back. And I did this in a biocube as a beginner none the less. Several years on now, looking back I could have saved more of them but I'd give it 25% chance depending how bad shape they are, but definitely not a lost cause.
