Marc: I see we own two of the same species. That former red Favia for one. You can see the similarity to my Lavender colored one. That Goniastrea? too..
JenDub: Pic #1 is either a Platygyra or a goniastrea. I agree with you on the others!
Kev: Are you refering to the blue on that? How about an actinic shot?

Matt, the whole think just glows man, I haven't seen a lot of faiva that look like a sixties rock concert poster as far as the electric colors and the way it glows, Man I'm flashing back!

when distributors or frag sellers sell these little frags on a square 1x1" chunk, how do they turn out a year later? does it puddle over and round its edges out? or does it retain that squarish look?
Let's see pics of your square frag after it's had a chance to grow out a little.

Those first two are coloring up for you nicely! It always amazes me that even thought we both use 250w radiums corals will still adjust their coloration to a specific tank's other parameters.

Love that last one BTW!

it usually puddles out but also continues to grow up and out as well, I like that puddle look myself

Kev: It doesn't show up that much in the pics. I see green & blue. Did you use a flash on the camera? Anyway, get some actinic shots, that should show the glowing aspect. I'm overdue for my flashback, man! LOL

Same species, different coloration.

I think so. My red. green & purple one back there is this species, though the polyps are almost always inflated these days. It used to look like that.
Lots of potential in that piece, I bet it colors up nicely for you!
