Have to agree when I got mine piece from Hugo I knew this coral was/is one of a kind, and knew that It would be a Le and a coral thats truly deserves to be in a league of its own.

well i just got these - i wanted the platy but since the prism was there i took it too. the platy glows under white light - can't wait to see it under just actinics

I have a Purple & green Platy? now. Looks similar. They REALLY glow!

it does glow check out this actinic shot - not trying to sidetrack the favia theme but it is a Faviidae right? and unfortunitly i don't have any killer favias so this is the only way i can play along

hey guys a lil update from a long weekend.
the judges rulling on the supermodel/favican leaning towards and acan. it was viewed by many at the hugo's/jose's swap. everyone like the color morth but no one was sure that it was one or the other. too funny.
sheol, mat. i am heading to CFM in Dallas later on in the year. we should hook up.

Richard: Send me a PM when the time is about a month away, so I can schedule a day off to meet you. Darn, I was hoping for Favia, but its still NOT definitive yet? BTE, I'd name it "Blue Sky Dreams" Favites. You'd get a ton of frag requests!
BTW, Since I am having some issues I'm hesitant to add any frags right now.
johnanddawn: MY LFS has one that is a dead ringer. I'm so bloody tempted, but I seem to be having phosphate issues or something. Need to adjust something or get a new skimmer..
Yes, its a Favid, one of my favorites, because its a REAL "Brain" coral & because of the GLOW. LOL.

Here are a couple more (and some updated shots) from my collection.

Cool combo that is growing together, the lower one is showing some potential I think and the upper one is nice too.

This one is really pleasing in person, seems like I cant manage to get pics that look like the actual thing.

Another one I just got from a friend. This one caught my eye a while back and he finally agreed to frag it. This is what it looked like under power compacts, cant wait to see if MH sharpens up those crazy colors!!!

And this little one, a hitchiker on some live rock I got. Starting to show some bluish centers but not going to be much more than just a pleasing little colony IMO.

Love those! I have the same species as the reddish-orange one ( not sure, need to go back to Coral search for exact sp. info!). Mine is more orange-brown though. I love the first couple of pics! Those are yours right? Not just pics? Man, that was a bag of goodies there.. LOL

...And Marc has the same species also. Mine has turned a warmish brown, hopefully it will return to the pretty orange. but there is no mistaken the structure of the corallites of the three. All the same species & towards the red end of the spectrum.
