hey Kev, where do you place your BB to get it looking like that? Do you shade it some?

I have it under 1X150 watt 20K Radium on the bottom of my tank, in open moderate light. I think anywhere from moderate/low moderate is ideal. If it's pale in color or washed out looking it's prolly too much light, you don't want to shade it too much either. Where do you have yours and what type of lights do yo have?

I have a 120AGA with 2x250 14k Pheonix bulbs. It's at the bottom in a corner. I got it 3 months or so ago from Vivd, and it came in very browned out. It's slowly changing color to a more blue, but it is taking a long time.:o

Thanks Kev - Yep, a local piece that came in a little rough but is rebounding nicely.

cool! that is a very unique piece indeed, nice find!

That BB is incredible, one of the nicest frags I've seen in many months!
That other piece seems to have a bit of Acan about it, very interested in that one..

Thanks Matthew. I have been wondering about the species of that one as well.

atf72, you are quite welcome!
Sps4mytank, it does get intimidating here at times when you see so many spectacular Favids.. I hope mine can stand up, hard to tell with those lousy shots!

Those are really SWEET! Love that first one, another that reminds me of an Acan a bit..
That second one looks hungry, BTW LOL

Matthew

I have fed it 4-5 times now and they are just starting to close back up.....It was all most like they were to big to fit back in the polyp.....

Yeah, the polyps do look a bit plump. LOL
My red & green F. speciosa looks like that most days now, though I don't see that masny feeder tentacles..

I just got 3 frags from mr.coral of "Australian Wild Eye Favia" Should these be placed in my sand bed? I have the Elos LED E-lite so I want to make sure I get these place correctly in my tank.

yes, I would start them low first, give them a chance to acclimate to your system and then after a while move them around accordingly to get the best color out of them

Anyone have a picture of this Favia? It sounds like a colorful one, but could just be a sales pitch.
