Really like the way this one is coming along.....

Interesting colors on that thing... Rasta Favia :D Almost looks like the negative of a photo. What lighting is that under?

Ian- very nice as usual...

It's under 3 blue plus and 1 super actinic and 12 powerbrite LEDS. I'm guessing the led's are the reason, but they sure make LPS corals glow...

Ian, what is it with you? every coral you touch turns to gold! what's your lighting set up and schedule again???

simply a stunning piece, I dunno if your into it but get it made into a LE piece by Tyree, it's a killer piece...lmk when you cut it I might have something you want in exchange for a frag ;)

it reminds me of Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds! trippy trippy trippy

Dancing, the coral on the round frag plug is a platygyra, and the large polyp to the left of it is an oullophyllia benattae.

I need to learn how to get those crazy colors out of my pictures but here's mine from the same source.

Not overly bright but a neat pattern. I picked up this aussie one yesterday

sorry theres a bit of mh shine in the pic. Will take another when I move to my display (t5 lit)

I don't think it's Oulophyllia but I see what you mean about the geometry. Whatever it is it's REALLY nice and very unique compared to a lot of the others I've seen on this thread. Unique is better than bright IMO. I'd love to have a coral like that!

It is a neat piece. The tenticles really extend. I had to move it another inch so its not too close to my lords (acan will win in sting war).

Here's 2 more I picked up today. What species are these? they are they really tiny polyp ones

Hmm, yeah I know. Actually, I believe that is typical Goniastrea you have. The deep corallites suggest it..
As for those new ones, pretty pickups those. Congrats!

Matthew

thanks! the first one is different from the other 2. I know this much. The polyp sizes and shape are much different.

Is there an ID page for all the different favia's / favites? now that I have so many I should stop calling them all the same thing :)
