Whoa! I hope that doesn't grow into major necrosis mark. Well, I got a patch like that on my Chocolate Mint, but it hasn't spread. If I see that on a platygyra though, the coral is doomed. IME that is. Favia seem a bit tougher than platy's..
Thanks, it has plumped up some. Mine which is undecided whether or not its orange, purple, or red still looks like a Paper wasp nest. Thanks for the updated pics.

i just got a new one last week

one of the new aussie "war" coral types that have been coming in a lot lately, but this one has a purple twist :)

hope it keeps these colors

Well, you got a 50/50 chance for that. I'd route for the purple too, but even if it keeps the red it's still a classy piece of coral. Maybe it will stay both, we have seen that here before..
Wow, its weird just getting back after vacation. And my mother managed NOT to kill my Reef! Makes it easier to travel..

Back home for now..

Hey Dan, is that a Baby's Breath? Looks like one.
I got another one this passed Tuesday. Its red & pink..

Gotta get some new Tank shots tomorrow. This time i promise to get them & put them up. Well, if they are worthwhile which is hard with my tank..

Nice Brain coral melev!

I collect corals with opaque white. Here are a few shots of my first piece that I found many years ago. I think it's a Favia lacuna, but could it be?

I don't know, Steve. This is one of those areas I don't go out of my way to learn the names. If I'm told when I purchase it, I'll usually try to remember it. Those are some great macros. :eek2: Mine is a very light blue within the brown corallites.

Hmm, I think I saw this coral at a store in Arlington, last week. was up there for a fish. came home with a Flame Hawk & a red Favia as well. I almost bought that coral TWICE..
Oh well, now I gotta go find my (lost) photobucket password!

Matthew

Nope, because you keep promising to post pictures and never do it, Matthew. We are waiting on you!
