Trachyphyllia geoffroyi. Or Tubastrea coccinea. Honorable mention to Caryophyllia smithii, the first coral I ever reproduced by fragging (even if it was by accident).

Very cool! I just bought a sun coral, tubastrea sp. and just fed it the day I got it, today. I have NO idea how people have trouble feeding this thing. I was all prepared for a hard time with feeding but as soon as I squirted some mysis shrimp at it's mouth, it opened and ate about 20 minutes later. No, tuberware, nothing.

I voted bubble as it was my very first coral and it turns 24 this year, centerpiece in my 300 , my other fav is my Rhizo but I am told they are not legal to import? Apparently rare to find and expensive, I picked mine up for $30 :smokin:

bubble coral by far just because its the only one i cant seem to get a hold of a helthy one.i have one that is commong back but you never no.i had one a year ago that was insane it was purple and splitt on two bases but connected at the bottom it looked like the twin towers and no exposed septa and growing great it was such a good piece.one day removing a piece of rock from the back my clown nipped me and startled me dropping the rock right on the top popping everything in one glorious explosian i couldnt believe my eyes.it was in slow motion to.since then no luck and i am allways looking there is a bare spot in my display for one allways waiting.the polyps on bubble corals are to me the best looking of all the coeals except the feeding tentacles on a red and green open brain coral are the only match up
