Feather Duster Jumped Ship

Hello Eveyone, I recently purchased my first feather duster. The other day the worm jumped ship. It left it's tube, is that normal?

Yes. He will create a new tube in time. They usually do that from stress, or something is picking on it at that location(usually when it has been in a tank for awhile the latter happens)

I had one drop its head. About one month later a new one popped out.
