feather duster

i just got my first feather duster. any important info i need to know? also how hardy are they? i got it yesterday and it rarely comes out.

Where did you place it? Any fish picking on it?

it is by a corner. my firefish are scared of it (lol) and i havent seen any crabs go near it. it is opened now, but it wasnt most of the day. i think it was still acclimating and getting used to its environment

There isn't much to successfully raising a feather duster but I've gone through some trial and error with a few of them. I've had fish pick at them (my yellow tang), I've accidentally sucked them up while doing a sand bed cleaning, I've seen them drop their feathers for no reason and grow them back a few days later, and I've had them do amazing with no problems. Just keep and eye on it but bottom like there is not much you can do to help them other then dose some phyto now and again and don't suck them up... they don't really like that.
