I just wanted to make a comment about FED EX . This has nothing to Do with DR F and S . Fed ex has been slacking so hard lately with shipping. They must have it in their head that they are so big that they cant be touched as a carrier. A mistake here and a mistake there . It doesnt matter to them. But if it was someone of a smaller company your stuff would be delivered ontime and to THE RIGHT PLACE. I ordered corals once and they ended up 2 buildings down the road. I had to go on a wild search just to find where they were. ... Like i said this has nothing to do with dr foster and smith and has everything to do with fed ex.

Every single time i order something from fed ex a jacket, supplies, corals, xmas gifts they are so bad. My friend bought diamond earings for his girlfriend and they lost them. When he called fed ex he was told to take it up with the vendor. So he called the vendor and they said talk to the shipper. It was FED EX"S fault. I could go on and on i just wanted to hear everyones story.

Radiography14,

Thank you for posting your concerns and for giving us this opportunity to respond to such an inquiry. In our experience we find Federal Express to be a reliable shipper. Yes, occasionally their personnel do make mistakes, yet, not to the extent that we would consider switching services.

Our company takes full responsibility for our shipping services and any errors that occur. If a customer contacts us about a package that is miss-delivered, damaged or is in any other way dissatisfied we will refund for those charges and contact the shipper ourselves. We also have online tracking available so our customers can track their package all the way to their front door.

Since your post is not in relation to a recent experience with Drs. Foster and Smith and Federal Express, perhaps a post under one of the general forums would generate the feedback you may be looking for.

FYI if you see your box misdelivered and u call dispatch they will make the driver go and bring to you. I had a driver do a knock and run. I called FEDEX asap and lets just say the driver came back very shortly afterwards.

Why does FedEx lie! I received an order yesterday from them, and it is bad enough that the box is smashed on one corner, but then the lady hands me the box carrying it on it's side!

Can't they read! Then to top it off, the time was like 4:45pm, and then looking at the traking number it says they dropped it off at 4:29pm!

What a lie! I have my wife to back the time up even. Do they do this because it was after the time of 4:30pm? I can't go after them anyways, as that would do any good!

I sometimes wish UPS was an option to ship. Not sure how that would work for me, but FedEx is getting worse it seems.

I live less then 3 hours from DFS local, yet I can't drive there and back with my truck for $40, so I tend to ship to me, look at the path this order takes to get 124 miles!

I am going to tell a good FedEx story. I had ordered a juvenile blueface angle and a velvet multicolor wrasse which were suppose to be delieveried last Friday (3/2) but because of the storm in Wisco, it was delayed until Saturday. (which I was cool with, since I didn't have to pay for the upgrade to Saturday delievery :) ). Anyways, it was cold out Saturday (live in Chicago) and when the FedEx guy came to my door he was sweating -- which was a bit of a shock, since it was below 32* out. Turns out that saw that my box had live fish in it, and he wanted to make sure they stayed warm.

(please ignore the bubble aglea ;) ) As you can see by this picture, the wrasse was in perfect shape (the angel was too, but is shy). Granted this had a lot to do with how they were packed.

No, thank you. :)

And hopefully I will have another good FedEx experience this Saturday, plan on order some live rock tonight with a Sat delievery.

Live Aquaria rules!
I too have had bad experience with Fed Ex...rerouting packages but Dr F & S always get it right.

They truly feel for the animals that they ship. NOT ABOUT THE BOTTOM LINE.

Keep up the good work guys!

Luckily Live Aquaria has excellent packing.

The last 2 times the clowns at fed ex have dropped my packages at the door and ran off without knocking or ringing the door bell.
The first time it happened the box was out in the freezing cold for an hour and a half before I noticed the box sitting on my porch.
The 2nd time I happened to hear the truck drive up, heard the driver drop the package off at the door and off he ran.

Not to mention it was after the 10:30 time limit and they gave me some load of the guarantee did not apply because there was bad weather. There wasn't a drop of snow in Omaha and the package was at the Omaha Sort facility at the same time it always is but they tried to blame delays in Indinapolis. Must be nice to have a guarantee that you never have to honor.

The shipping companies are all the same as I've had issues with DHL and UPS as well. Mistakes happen and I realize that, but the shippers have absolutely zero customer service. They never take responsibilty for there mistakes and if/when they do correct a mistake it is on their schedule and not yours. I'm glad Live Aquaria holds themselves to a higher standard of customer service than the shipping companies.
