When you feed your anemones should I remove the shell from the shrimp or leave it on? I have fresh maine shrimp with shell on. I would think it would be o.k with the shell....

Shell on or off it doesn't really matter to the anemone. If your anemone is not healthy then I would take the shell off. Of course in the wild the anemone wouldn't get its shrimp peeled.

I dont really see an anemone catching that many whole shelled shrimp actually. I remove the shell that way you avoid any injury.

Especially since most of the anemones in our tanks arent big enough to swallow a whole shelled shrimp.

If anything in the wild they catch peices of leftovers that float by.

Just my thoughts on feeding.

I feed mine with silver side and little shrimp.
