My onyx perc babies are 2 weeks old today!! :D They are eating rotifers and BBS but I am having trouble getting them to eat anything else. Can I feed them unhatched decapsulated brine shrimp eggs?

i feed my occelaris fry crushed pellets and flakes starting on day 5. i feed the new food in the morning overlapping with rots and bbs. usually by day 8 or 9 they all are eating the dry food. hope that helps

edit: mine also will eat the decapsulated brine, staring about day 6-7. i feed that with the dry food in the morning to get them used to it.

I think occ. start eating prepared foods earlier than percs. You can certainly try crushed flake or pellet but be careful about polluting the water if they don't eat it.

Good luck!

At 12 days I started feeding pulverized flake and cyclop-eez 1/2 hour before the regular BBS and rotifers, but I don't think they are eating it. I will keep offering it, and eventually they will figure it out! Thanks.

I start offering frozen cyclop-eeze at about 2 weeks but siphon any that goes uneaten.

Same here.....I think it doesn't break down as fast....allows u time to vac...also I feed freezedried cyclops...
