feeding a BTA...

I am trying to get ideas for what I need to feed my BTA, so could you guys post what you are using to feed.

Thanks

Just about anything meaty works fine. Silversides seem to be the favorite amongst most. I just feed mine little chunks of my homemade fish food, which is a mix of all sorts of things. Here are a few things I've fed to mine and would suggest. Your particular anemone may take to some more than others:

Shrimp
Any saltwater fish (I've fed Tuna, Mahi, Grouper, and Talapia)
Squid
Crab
Clam
Krill
Mysis

As with your fish, variety is a good thing, so try to feed at least a few different things. Also, it's not a bad idea to soak the food in something like Selcon or that Kent stuff. . .I think it's called Zoe or something like that. I haven't used the latter personally.

I was feeding krill and mysis for the first couple weeks and wasn't happy with how the nem looked. My maroon was feeding it also, but it wasn't until I started feed a silverside 1 - 2x a week when I noticed how much happier it is.

Cool, thanks guys.

I feed my tang, and clowns my own frozen food mix and I managed to get my PBT off Brine and on to mysis. So I will definitely try a mix with the anemone.

Right now I use my syringe and just squirt some brine and mysis at my anemone and she catches a few pieces and devours them.

Thanks again.
