I have a seabe annenome with 2x65 PC in a 30 and i didnt know what else i should feed it. once a week i squirt brine into the tenticles with a turkey baster and it eats it but I dont know if it is enough.

H. crispa?

I'd try some pea sized pieces of uncooked store bought shrimp. And perhaps some squid, clams or oysters (clean the juice), or even small bits of tuna.

Man I need to stop. I'm getting hungry for sushi!

yeah H. crispa. i thought about feeding it the store bought shrimp but does it have to be the uncooked ones or can it be the ones that are already pink.

I would go with uncooked because you can't be sure if the cooked ones were cooked with spices or oils.

I concur.

That means I agree. Cooking would change the proteins in the shrimp and decrease the nutritional value of the meat. Spices would just be bad on GP.

Oh. well now dont i just feel dumb. should i try and feed it after i feed the clowns because i would think they would try and take it if i didnt.

Sometime my clowns will take the food, other times they feed the anemone, other times they just let it eat.

When I feed the anemone, I also feed my fish. Keeps them busy while the anemone gets started on it's meal.

will it eventaly split like a BTA or dont H. crispa do that?

Not as far as I am aware, but who knows? You learn something new every day.

I wouldn't worry about that happening. It's pretty unusual to see them that big in captivity.

I've seen tons of huge Crispa's in captivity (well...posted on this forum anyways).

H. Crispa can reach a diameter of something like two feet...I'd say that it will definitely outgrow your tank eventually.

You're right...if your condition's aren't adequate for the nem it will probably die long before it outgrows your tank.

Yeah, no doubt. This forum has some of the best hobbiests in the world, but it has far more beginners and intermediate level aquariests. So, you certainly will see some big ones on the boards. Unfortunately in the brick and morter communities most of us live in, large nems like that are far and few between. I know of two and they are both in LFSs and have been for a very long time. What you see here is not a very accurate representation of what's really out there if only for the fact that most people tend to post all their triumphs and none of their failures.
