feeding anthias

i have 2 schools of anthias going 1 male 4 female bartletts, 1 male 5 female dispars. my question is how much to feed them. they have been in my tank for 4 weeks now any all are doing well except 1 female dispar, looking kinda thin. it eats every time i feed which is 2 - 3 times a day but still looks thin. the rest looking very healthy. i have been feeding them squid, mysis, and flake food. just wondering if i'm giving them a big enough portion or not?
earlier when i said 2 schools i should have said 1 because they all seem to get along great and travel together.

I bet the thin one if being picked on and will soon be wacked by the pack, you should add a few more females of both species to difuse aggression. I feed mine frequently when i first acquire them to put some weight on them and they i cut it back to 2 feedings a day.

Basically what they can eat in just a few seconds under a minute, then give them about 30 mins to settle in their stomach and do another feeding, small frequent feedings are better than large feedings.

every 30 minutes? man i put a1 male and 6 female lyretails and have been feeding them 3-4 times a day and thought that was enough?

Julio, mine do not like squid....what are some other good foods besides mysis and brine and krill?

I think Julio just meant break up your one feeding into a two part session, with 30 min in between. This is a great idea for fattening up skinny individuals. I'd also recommend using something like formula 1 for the first session, then something they like even more for the next part, like mysis.

Like Peter said i meant to break up your feeding into parts.
I feed mine Cyclops, mysis, brine shrimp, daphnia they take some flakes but not much, mine hate squid as well, but they do love chopped up clam bits.

i see. i'm feeding mine mysis, squid, and flake. they eat the flake and the squid just fine. i am feeding twice a day. so i should split that and feed 4 smaller portions to fatten the skinny one up. i'm not really seeing any other fish picking on her.

They like little food. Like frozen cyclopeeze, baby brine shrimp, daphnia, Cyclops by H2O, Sweetwater Zooplankton - and the smaller saltwater mysis by H2O brand

My favorite thing to feed is live just hatched brine. Floats/swims around in the tank & they are still munching on them even an hour later

She may have parasites, you could try soaking some dried brine in Prazipro and feed once a day for several days - might not help, but it couldn't hurt

Julio....where can iget clam to chop up? like grocery store?

Angel*Fish....but live brine has about as much nutrition as candy, no?
