For what it's worth, a feeding study on H. crispa showed no difference in growth rate between feeding one per week, and feeding three times per week. Different species, but food for thought.
I rarely fed our little RBTA and it was the size of a quarter for over a year. Then in about 2 months it blossomed into a gorgeous 6" flowing tentacles-extended home for a maroon clown.
Now I feed about once a week, scallops shrimp of mysis.

Yes. Both feeding once weekly and thrice weekly showed significant improvement versus not feeding at all. They theorized that there is a level of "satiation" beyond which the anemone doesn't benefit. You can read the paper here:
It didn't really answer the question of "how much is enough", but it confirms what reefers have observed - if you have a healthy anemone it will grow slowly without supplemental feeding, or quickly with supplemental feeding. (At least with this species for this test).
