feeding Crocea

I have a 2" Crocea clam ( for about 2 weeks) I have been feeding the tank Dt's but wanted to put this clam in a container and feed it separatly but it has attached to a rock. The rock is to big to move and would involve taking a lot of stuf apart. I know now that i should have used a small rock or shell for the clam to attach to. Will feedin Dt's to the tank be ok?

When I feed my clams, I dose the entire tank with DT's. I turn off my skimmer for an hour or two and it does the job just fine. All my clams have grown dramatically from the feedings; I'm a firm believer of feeding.
