Hey I had a quick question about my juv. emperor. Since I've had him (about 3 weeks) he hasnt once really eaten the formula two flakes I've been feeding. I recently tried fromula two frozen food but he dosn't seem to eat that either. He sometimes just hides away and dosnt notice the feeding but othertimes he just kind of ignores it. He does graze however all day on the live rock and sand occassionally. Is he getting enough nutrients from the rock and is choosing not to eat or should I try a different approach. He also sometimes pecks a little at my corals which is why I'd rather get him to eat food that I feed for them. Thanks!

From what he has tried, just feeding frozen brine would be a large improvement. start with that for a few weeks then swith to frozen prime reef or formula one. That what I use for the emperor's I keep. I even get transhipped angels to eat frozen brine within a few days.

I had the same problem with mine and he ended up dying the day I brought home garlic extreme to soak his food in. I recommend getting the kent garlic extreme and soaking different foods in it and see how that works.

They also like Nori. I have a blueface that grew with Nori soaked with Selcon as prime food.
