feeding fish kombu

For years, I've fead my herbivores nori. After reviewing tangs in The Conscientious Marine Aquarist, I saw he suggested kombu. I hadn't heard of it before. So picked up some dried kombu from the Asian market. But, no ones interested. How long should I wait before giving up on it?

Dried Kombu is hard. Fresh Kombu might work, but I'd think Nori is a better bet.

Well, they didn't touch it all day. Went back to nori this morning. They attacked that right away. Guess my girlfriend will use the Kombu.

It wasn't hard when I pulled it out the tank. But they just weren't interested.
