Feeding Little Things

I have a new tank I posted about earlier (40g, Fluval, beach sand). I collected a few really small (4mm or so) hermit crabs from a local tidal pool and a few periwinkles. What is the best thing to feed them without over feeding the tank because all of the animals in the tank could fit easily in half a ping pong ball and I'm sure they don't eat much ... so i'm hoping to avoid a lot of waste.

I'd post pics but i haven't found a good 3rd party site and photobucket sucks donkey balls.

Thanks!

Can't help you with the feeding issue but I use imageshack.com to host my pics. Might work better for ya.

You don't need to feed them..
There should be sufficient "stuff" in the tank for them to eat..

If you really want then just throw in a few pieces of sinking pellet fish food
