So i have a new LTA in my tank this is day 2 with it colors are great on it burried itself in my sand bed and now has a group of clowns with it. This morning i thought i would try and feed it so i sprayed some brine and myssis shrimp on it. When i did so it didnt close up like my bta usually do the food jsut sat there i dont believe it closed on any of it may have but i just couldnt tell. The clowns were moving the food out about 15 mins later. From what i can see some food may have been eaten but i doubt. Should i be concerned or with it only being its second day it may still be a little stressed out? The anemone looks and acts very healthy the mouth is tight and the colors are great.

also here is a pic of new nem

I fed my purple m. doreensis a piece of silverside the first day after it put its foot in the sand. I wouldn't try feeding brine shrimp, it has no nutritional value. Mysis shrimp are good, you could try larger foods like..small pieces of silversides, sea scallops, raw shrimp or squid. Feed it once a week, any more than that it will start spitting up its food.

Yours looks pretty healthy and with its foot already in the sand, it is a good sign. A lot of people have trouble with their lta finding a spot in their tank.

Thanks i was just concerned because when i had BTA i can spray brine and myssis in and they swallow it up but i will try chunks of silversides once a week in this one its my first time ever keeping a anem other then bubble tips and bubble tips seem to eat just about anything i spray at them. The frozen i feed is usually top soaked in selcon for awhile prior to feeding. Are the anem usually able to take the silversides in even if the clowns are bothering them my nakeds are already all over this anem.
