I just recieved my first order with LiveAquaria and WOW what outstanding fish!! I ordered a Powder Blue Tang and a Flame Angel. I was very pleasently surprised with the quality of the 2 fish. I was wondering if there were any tips or tricks to getting the newly acclimated fish to start eating and what is best to feed these 2 fish. Any information on feeding new fish will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Bret

Jbret,

We greatly appreciate your comments and hope you enjoy your new arrivals. When fish are first introduced into a new aquarium we do not recommend feeding for the first 24 â€"œ 48 hours. Once that time frame has passed you may offer a variety of foods including marine algae, mysid or frozen shrimp, and other high-quality meaty items for the Angelfish and the Tang.

Just a note in the long term once the fish is used to the tank
I have had a lot of success feeding my PBT Ocean Nutrition green marine alage. They love it. Tangs should have lots of veggies in their diet. I have had success with the Hikari marine A and Spectrum brand pellets as well. NOw that my tang has been with me for a long time its used to eating a huge variety of foods that include, Mysis, plankton, and other frozen foods.
