Feeding Ocean Nutrition frozen gel foods

I bought some Ocean Nutrition pygmy angel formula today, first time I have used this brand and just wondering how people usually go about feeding them to the tank. May be a stupid question but as they don't come apart when defrosted in the same way mysis/brine etc does is the idea to mash them up before adding or to add them whole and let the fish pick at them?

Had a go at mashing one up with the pipette but it doesn't come apart very well and ended up with some fairly large chunks so just wondering if there is a better way

Cheers

I made the mistake of buying some of this today too, I knew there was a reason I stopped using it, but I couldn't remember. Dropped a cube in the tank, and it just sank to the bottom immediately. Smh

I have 2 packs of the stuff to use so i'm stuck with it for now as it ain't cheap either!

Their products are good for bottom feeding fish, crustations etc.
I had a Moorish Idol that like eating Oyster Eggs by Ocean Nutrician. He would have it eaten before it sank to the bottom.

I might try just sinking a whole block then and see if my coral beauty takes to it. I want to like this stuff as it seems a great idea tailoring the formula to suit different species but seems like having it gel-based wasn't the best idea.

I cut in up in cubes depending on the size fish you are feeding, immediately drop it in don't defrost. Some of my fish just gobble it up, some of my smaller fish will even attack the larger pieces and nibble it up until gone.
