Feeding pearlscale butterfly

K there listed as omnivore, etc. Has anyone got these to eat liek pellet or flakes. The source said they feed them lettuce some, odd I thought. Just trying to find as many options as possible for my new man coming in.

I recently got one of these guys. He loves to eat frozen mysis shrimp. I also feed my other fish frozen brine, formula one, and some pellets. The pearlscale doesn't seem to like any of it although I do feed fresh scallop meat from the grocery store once and a while and he picks at that a little bit.

They are very fun fish to watch. He does a weird shaking, vibrating thing when he goes near my peppermint shrimp? Anyone know what that is? Seems like he wants the shrimp to pick at him. Has anyone seen that before?

Ah well he died on me this morning, but I hadnt had him 24 hours so Im sure its not just food anymore. My clown trigger is doing well though.
