Feeding Question

I know this has probably been asked before, but what does everyone prefer to feed their Anemone's? I've been feeding mine a small piece of a Silverside once a week. I know some people say that feeding them Silverside's is a no-no but I really didn't research it. I know some people say piece's of scallop or table shrimp, but is there anything that they really like?

I feed my 2 rbta's freeze dried krill. I let them soak in water before feeding. I feed every other day to every 3 days.

I feed my Magnifica salmon,tuna,halibut etc... One thing I notice with my Magnifica is that when you feed food high in nutrients as the above examples she change color from burnt gold to rainbow ,she have brown base and the oral disc turn lavender / neon yellow.

my rbtas I spot feed them monthly with rods food, a little bit of shrimp ,and an occasional pellet will float thier way!

I have a Haddon's Carpet that I feed daily rotating with a piece of Whiting, Scallop or Shrimp.

I feed Tetra Jumbo Freeze Dried Krill, 1-2 times per week. Excellent and easy product to use!

I've been feeding my anemone Silversides and it looks like it has doubled in size over the last month!!! It is almost too big now..

It seems like people feed a variety of foods and feeding schedules. Is there any standard? I have a new RBTA that I want to get the best food/care I can give it. Is there a "Gold standard" for what and when to feed these things?

There is no gold standard. Some people never target feed and others feed daily. For BTAs, I feed about once or twice per week. If you feed more, the anemone will grow faster. I feed my BTAs krill, PE mysis, silversides (caveat: some report problems with this food, though I've never noticed any and they love it), table shrimp, on occasion trout, salmon, pacific rock fish, etc. Generally speaking, the fresher the food the better the feeding response. You can't go wrong to feed a couple of times per week.

I feed my mag a small piece of krill daily and my bta mysis when it will take it. The mag eats like a pig but the rbta doesn't seam to want to feed often but he is new. But before my tank crashed i used to have some gbta's that would eat krill and were growing to a good size one even split.
