I was wondering what most people feed their SPS Corals. What brand and product is usually the best and what combination of supplements works the best.

ok cool thanks for the info so far. I think I have enough flow. I have 2 1050gph 1 750gph and 1 500gph powerheads in the tank. Also the 1000gph pump returning water to the tank from the refugium.

oyster feast and rotifer feast. i forget the brand name..
amino acids from a newer seachem product. fish poop and what the fish
eat. etc...

Marine snow, fish food, weekly water changes and add 1 Balance Block after the WC, A few drops of Kents Cal and Iodine every other day...

twice a week after the main lights are out the system is feed a combination of Nutra-Kol NutraPlus Complete Feed, DT's Oyster Eggs Natural Reef Diet and Cyclop-eeze. I cant really tell if it helps but all i know is i get great polyp extension, and the anthias definitely enjoy the cyclop-eeze!

In 9 years of reefing I have never fed anything consistently and haven't fed anything for probably 6 or 7 years. IME SPS don't need to be fed at all. They do have deeper colors if kept with a good population of fish. Whether this is due to fish poop and leftover food in the water column or due to dissolved waste products (or both) I don't know.

Anything with a mouth eats its common sense and backed by science that corals eat and eat a lot. Some corals can get the majority of the energy from photosynthesis but none can get their amino acids needed for growth without ingesting them. I don't know why this debate keeps going on, it's been proven 100 times over the corals eat, including sps corals they have developed hundreds of mouths for a reason. In saying that, it doesn't necessarily mean you have to feed them directly but it does increase growth and sometimes improves colors.
