Feeding Wild Caught Shrimp

I have a friend who is going cast net fishing tomorrow. I was wondering if I could use the shrimp he catches to feed my trigger, eel, and lion. If so, should I do anything to treat it to make sure no disease come in on it? Should I freeze it for a while 1st....etc etc.

I don't know what they eat, but have had some hide for two months in the tank and look real healthy before swimming in the wrong place.:
I feed my groupers live shrimp from the bait store with no problems.
They are actually cool to watch. You would never expect to see them bury in the sand.
