feeding zooplankton to sun coral?

I just picked up my first frag of sun coral on friday from premiumaquatics and they suggested feeding with the roti feast zooplankton. I didn't know if anyone had used this before as i am having a hard time using it. The problem is that when i try squirting it around the polyps its so light that it dosent settle on them, it just floats up to the top of the tank. I cut a 20oz bottle and put it over the coral trying to trap it around the polyps but it just sits at the top where the lid screws on. Is there any way i can get this to work? I think i also need to get some frozen mysis and cyclop-eeze from what i've read. I'm just worried in the mean time seeing as they havent really eaten anything since i got the colony. First time to this type of coral so any suggestions would be awesome.

Defrosting in saltwater usually helps food to sink.

I feed my sun coral mysis most of the time, and it definitely goes for that.

While I don't have this product, I'm feeing frozen mysis for small polyps, Ocean Plankton (as mysis, but larger and pink) - for big polyps, mixes of different foods and finely chopped grocery seafood (mostly SW shrimp and fish), only raw, no salt or preservatives. Even frozen Formula One cubes worked for someone recently.

With flow, turned off, slow squirting of the defrozen food covers coral by food particles.

If you whish to take a look, there is DIY page about covering coral during feeding, to prevent food from floating, Lunar Lander, and a page, how I feed my sun coral, with the links to other ways of feeding, Feeding sun coral.

Good luck!

And: there is a new forum here, at RC - Non-photocynthetic corals, you probably already know.
