Female Clown Likes To Dig

Question so I have this female clown that has picked a corner in my tank and has made a nice little spot on my sand. What is the reason for this behavior? I was just curious and found it very interesting.

My guess is she's digging out an area to create a suitable nesting spot to lay eggs.
