Female flame wrasse?

Hey, I am on the line of whether to get a flame fairy wrasse, i love the colors of the super male flame wrasse, but the only ones available to me are females and I will only be able to get 1. Is it likely that it will change into a male or supermale or am I stuck with a female?

Get two females and one will change for sure

I always have harem that's why.

Getting more than one isn't really an option for me, I am shaky on investing 120 in a fish like a wrasse which may dies so two pushes me way out of my comfort zone.

Not to mention the starting size of the juvi/female, affects the length of time it takes to change.

I would get a small female. While it may take 6 months or a year to change, they certainly are not ugly as females!

Right. When doing the two female thing it is essential that they be of different sizes.

No wrasse in the tank right now, but other wrasses will be arriving with it.

I think with the other Wrasses in the tank, a female Flame Wrasse will not stay female for too long. I say go for it
