Female of Mated Pair died -- What now?

Unfortunately, I woke up this morning to find that the female of my mated pair of pink skunks didn't make it through the night. Have no idea why, except that she had a little spot on her stomach. Water params are fine, so that's all I can think of.

At any rate, what do I do now? Should I try to find another big female? Do you guys know anyone who has one? Pink skunks seem to be pretty rare around here.

That happened twice w/ my female perculas and my male has been fine accepting all mates. Luckily hes takin' a liking to my black occy! Good Luck.

AliKat, didn't you just them a week or so ago? My suggestion would be to get another "Large" on and try to pair them off or get a smaller one and attempt to pair them off.

get another clown, the male should turn to female and then the other clown will be a male (if its not female)

If you get another real soon you could get one larger than your male, or you could not rush and get one smaller and your male will turn female.
IME pinks are pretty easy to pair up.
I'd choose the later.

Yep, it's been just a week. :(

Yep, I'm very sad. Like I said, it was with no warning. I saw a little patch on her stomach, but assumed it had something to do with her laying eggs. Shows how much I know! Of course, I still don't know what it is, although my water params are fine.

I would realllyyyyyyyyyy suggest that you wait. If you don't know what killed your fish, you need to do your best to figure it out, and monitor your tank to make sure that the male isn't afflicted. Otherwise, you could be adding another fish into a death trap. I would recommend getting a smaller fish, and allowing your male to turn female.
