Female Tomato hogging RBTA, male hosting Pulsing Xenia

My female Tomato won't let her husband anywhere near her RBTA so he has taken up with some pulsing Xenia. Is that normal? Will she ever let him in her nem?

It's not huge, 3-4 inches, maybe it's just too small for 2 at the moment(or she is just selfish).

Are they considered a "pair" if they don't hang out with eachother? He chases her, she doesn't like him...he hounds her and she just keeps chasing him off. Maybe this is completely normal, I have only ever had these clowns and some long long ago.

Thats normal. She will eventually let him in.

I have a pair of cinnamons (same species complex) that are similar. They have "twin" BTA clones right next to each other and snuggle together in the same one every night, but during the day she usually chases him off. If you have a big enough tank and enough room, you might consider getting another BTA--although there's always the chance that she'll just monopolize both anemones.
