Cross gender fish, eh? I got him, and two females, from Red Heart King in HK. He's just about 5" and a really, really interesting fish. Color changes every few seconds from yellow to bright blue depending on whether or not the females are around and extremely active. I'll post a longer vid in a bit.

The best thing about these guys is that I know that they'd been out of the ocean 7 days before I received them. Working on weening them and the Lennardi to pellets now ... fingers crossed that they will take a quick page from the other Anampses in the tank.

Pardon the dirty glass ... tank cleaning day

Awesome fish, but those multi-bar angels you've got in there got my attention. If I'm not mistaken you've got a pair? Wondering where you got yours from, I've tried 4 times to keep multibar angels and have been unsuccessful. Problem is finding a good specimen, never found one to be eating at the store. But they come aroundI so infrequently that I chance it. I have just about givin up. Yours look awEsome

I actually have a harem of four. :) I get them within a week of coming out of the water, so they have been pretty good. I hear you though on their being difficult to get to eat. What I have done with mine (I did the same with my C. aurantius) was to QT them with a bit of fresh rock and several PVC elbows. I then slowly feed mysis until they start up. If they are fin clean, and still not eating, I put them in the DT sump where there is plenty to get acclimated on in the live rock. This harem I've had now for the better part of four years; with one of the females having been added last fall. They are great fish and the larger female has spawned twice since December last year. Unfortunately, it's only fish food...

Can you post a picture of your Lennardi's male ?
Thanks

The big Lennardi at the end of the second video is the male. They look identical to the female, with the exception that the yellow on the tail fin extends to the end of the fin; whereas the female has a blue boundary. You'll also see the female swimming around - she has still a bit of juvi black coloration on the tail.
