thanks, yup coralline took off, was concerned with using all base rock that rock would be white forever.
additives.. Kalkwasser in ato, magnesium, occasional two part to bump up alkalinity and calcium, Went from 2tsp to 6tsp kalkwasser with coral , coralline growth and new additions. . Was adding 20ml vinegar to top off but slowed down to 10ml and now none at all. Recently bumped up nitrate with sodium nitrate, carbon dosing was stripping the nitrate and some corals are pale. Was dosing a drop of lugols daily until that ran out and Randy's DIY iron supplement. Instead of mixing and dosing iron supplement just throw half a tablet in sump every now and then.
Lots of fish food, pellets, nori, Mysis, Cyclops, brine, seafood blend( oysters, clams, shrimp, squid in blender) and skim wet.
Pretty much it, no filter socks, have two SCA skimmers in 40g sump, couple each Jebao RW-15 and modded tunze 6025's for flow
yes it is, fastest growing coral in the tank, thought it would be safe to grow on the overflow, but in time still may make a mess
be a while yet before some serious fragging, may be cutting out some weeds soon and removing the less desirables
