Fiji Cube Overflow Box 600GPH Fittings Question

Hey all,

I bought this: Fiji Cube Low Profile External Overflow Box 600GPH and am not sure what to connect to the bottom of it to get the water into the sump. I assume two barb fittings and some hose. The description says that they are 1" fittings but they are larger that that. The threaded fittings appear to be straight thread (NPS, not NPT) and appear to have an ID of 1 5/16".

Is this what I need: Hose Barb 1.25

I tried messanging with them directly but no response yet...

You can plumb this a couple different ways.

1. You can hard plumb it using PVC pipe and fittings.
2. You can use a hose barb and vinyl tubing.
3. You can use Flex Hose.

I don't see any specs on the Hose Barb you linked. If it was me, I'd take the bulkhead out of the overflow box, take it to the hardware store and try different size fittings to see what works. Then, you can either buy what you need there or order somewhere online.

The inside hole of the bulkhead piece that goes in the box is the right size to glue 1 inch pvc pipe into or any fitting with 1 inch slip fit for glueing
