Filefish

Hi,if I add a filefish to my reef tank (for the purpose of eradicating the majanos) will it eat my snails,asterinas,hermit crabs? Also will it damage /eat my zoas,mushrooms acropora?ty.

Depends on what species the bristltails are generally pretty safe they are hit and miss with aptasia and havnt heard of them going for mojanos fwiw mine whiped out all my blastos

I now have a mimic file and he has proven to be completely reefsafe...

Ended up with a matted filefish on a trade. I didnt know much about them and he almost ended up going to the lfs.

Glad i kept him, he's now my favorite fish in the tank. I have a mixed reef and he's never touched any of my coral and he's knocked out what little aptasia i had in the tank.
