Filter for 20 long

I am starting a QT in a 20 gallon long tank, What would suggest for a filter? What are good brands?

I think sponge filters, HOB and canister are the typical canidates, just remove the carbon portion. I dont brand plays a major role so much as our main systems.

My favorite is a small pump set in an old CD bucket, topped with filter floss and a paperweight. Easy to change and efficient enough.

You can't go wrong with any of those Aquaclear HOB filers IMO. For that size tank though the Aquaclear 30 or perhaps the 50 would probably be your best bet.

I went aquaclear 70 with a in tank media basket. I ran this for two years before I added an hob skimmer. At that point I changed to a cheap whisper 20 hob for ease of filter media availability
