Filter Pad Issues

A little over a month ago I started using your Phospure pads in my canister filter. A week after putting in the new pads, I had the worst slime algea outbreak I've ever had. I did a large water change and switched the filter pads out only to have another really bad outbreak. The only thing I can think of that I've changed in the tank are the filter pads.

Have you guys had any sort of quality issues with these?
