Pimp, gonna hold off on the filter bags, then. So, you might want to hit up the med supply if that's OK.

I don't believe success with growing corals comes naturally to anyone.
Sure- it's usually easy the first couple of years but (if you last that long) things can get tricky.
In this case I sincerely believe that if you stick to a routine water change schedule and keep on top of Ca, alk and Mg you will be rewarded.
This is a case where mechanical filtration is probably better off avoided as long as you keep on top of water changes AND don't overfeed those corals (ie: the whole aquarium).
