filter sock pore size

right now I am having trouble trying to get rid of a ton of tiny white specs that are floating around the tank. I know that they arent bubbles and I don't think they are sand. I think that it is the fact that there is so much Ca in the salt that I have been using. I have done a couple of daily 15 gallon water changes now and am not convinced that it is doing the trick (the tank is a 125 so understanding that it will take more than 2 small changes to fix the problem if it can I will continue with them).

Maybe my filter socks pore size is too large. I think I have a 100 right now. Drs foster and smith sells a large pad that is a 50 and it seems like a sock could be made out of it. Is there any premade socks with pores this size or smaller? do you think that this will solve the problem?

I use 100 micron pads. I get a bit of stuff floating around, its hard to keep it 100% clear. Hell look at the ocean, its anything but clear when you really look closely. food, sand waste, plankton. I dont thinkits the pads, maybe you just have a lot of flow? and its kicking a ,lot of stuff up?

Even though you don't think so, I'll bet it is either sand or microbubbles. Anyway a 100 micron sock does a great job (though it may take a week). I'll bet that if you get 50 micron socks they will clog up PDQ.

what can i do to get rid of bubbles? I tried turning off the skimmer and that didnt fix the problem...but then I didnt wait more than an hour to see results...i should wait longer huh?

If they are being caused by the skimmer than what should I do? If they arent then what?
