Heads up Mike, Jeff & Tom.
The filterbags are here and the total was $158.92. So split this 4 ways and it comes out to $39.73 each. This ends up being $2.65 per bag. Not bad especially considering I paid $9.95 each for two bags at All About Fish a few weeks back.
Jeff, please chime in on how you want to deal with your allocation of filter socks. I'm sure we can find enough guys in the club interested in yours if you decide to take a break from the hobby. Just pm me or post here.
*** I highly recommend that everyone washes their socks first ***
If you don't, your skimmer will go crazy and overflow. I usually use a little bleach in the washer on a double rinse cycle. Once they're done, I throw them in a bucket with some R.O. water and dechlorinator to soak for a few minutes before using them in the tank.
I think this is the easiest way because even if you only have a few socks, you don't even need them to dry before you can use them.
